Former West Ham technical director Tim Steyden talked about his transfer from a pharmaceutical factory to Liverpool's Wilts this summer.
Tim Steyden said: "A lot of people asked me if Werz can gain a foothold in Liverpool? It's not a question for me. My answer is always very clear: Yes!"
"I still clearly remember the first time we talked to Werz in the office of Rollfies, the head of the pharmaceutical factory youth training, when his parents were there. Simon asked him, 'Where do you want to go? What are you trying to achieve?' Werz replied: 'I want to be the best player in the world.'"
Tim Steyden and Simon Rollfies are Wiltz's men, who brought Werz to Leverkusen together.
