"The Sun" reported that Chelsea loan forward David Fofana was fined a total of 12,130 pounds and received 8 penalty points for driving his Cadillac Escalade worth 100,000 pounds without a valid driver's license and without insurance.

David Fofana is currently on loan to Türkiye. He was stopped by the police in Surrey County in February 2024. According to court documents, Fofana had admitted the crime at an earlier hearing and declared a monthly income of 10,000 pounds. The total fine includes a fine of £10,000, a surcharge of £2,000 and court costs of £130.

The prosecutor pointed out that Fofana not only failed to purchase insurance for the vehicle at the time, but his driving behavior did not comply with the regulations of his driver's license because he did not have an L plate (trainee driver's license) and there was no qualified driver supervising him.
