According to Sky Sports, Brentford will appoint the team's set-piece coach Andrews as the new team's head coach.

Brentford has promoted set pieces coach Andrews to the new head coach, and the two sides have signed a three-year contract. According to Sky Sports News exclusive, the club is expected to announce the appointment later today. Andrews' first Premier League match will be played in Nottingham Forest on August 17.

Despite Andrews' lack of experience in the coaching position, the club believes that he can continue the coaching style of former coach Frank and become an excellent coach. Andrews has been a set piece coach at Brentford since last summer and is very familiar with the team's roster and tactical system.

Brentford has had contact with several well-known coaches, but they believe hiring from the outside may pose greater risks. Andrews has previously coached Milton Keynes, Sheffield United, the Irish national team U21 and the senior team.

Andrews played for Wolves, Milton Keynes, Blackburn Rangers and Bolton Rangers during his time, and made 35 appearances for the Irish National Team. With his help, Brentford performed well in set pieces last season, scoring a total of 13 goals and creating 16.71 expected goals, ranking third in the Premier League.

In addition, Andrews also planned Brentford's blitz start last season, with the team scoring in the first 40 seconds in three consecutive Premier League games in October. This shows that the club's strategic assets have been effectively integrated, including innovative ideas, an open coaching team discussion platform, players' enthusiasm, and on-field execution capabilities.
