The Sun reported that Premier League player Zinchenko received a tax bill of 300,000 pounds.
Just a few months ago, Zinchenko had just ended a lawsuit with the UK General Administration of Taxation and Customs over an unpaid tax, but the player lost the case and the tax bill he received involved unpaid corporate taxes.
The news was disclosed after Zinchenko voluntarily liquidated its portrait rights company this week. The company has used to manage some of his career revenue, including four Premier League titles he won with Manchester City before moving to Arsenal.
In February this year, tax officials tried to close Zinchenko's portrait rights company at a High Court hearing. But the player's representatives at the time promised that the tax would be settled. At that hearing that lasted only a few minutes, the specific amount of tax owed was not disclosed.
In addition, Zinchenko received a bill of £35,000 from the accounting firm that handles its tax affairs. Zinchenko's weekly salary at Arsenal is reportedly £150,000.
The UK General Administration of Taxation and Customs began liquidation of the company in September last year. But at a London hearing earlier this year, the court was told the parties had reached a settlement.
