Tottenham new non-executive chairman Peter Charlington published a letter to Tottenham fans.

He said: Dear fans, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I was recently appointed as the non-executive chairman of this great football club.

Many fans may have questions about my role and how the club will work in the future. First of all, it should be pointed out that I am no stranger to Tottenham. I joined the board as a non-executive director back in March, so I already had a deep understanding of the club.

We won the UEFA Cup in Bilbao, showing what winning the trophy means to our fans here and around the world. This is something our board hopes you will experience many times in the future.

I have been fortunate enough to know the Lewis family for years, and it can be proven that Vivie, Charlie and his family’s passion for getting the club to truly reach their potential. I think my role is to empower leadership and the team across the organization to achieve our long-term sports success goals.

Over the past six months, I have been honored to meet many talented people in the club who are pushing us forward every day, both on and off the court. This includes our head coaches Thomas Frank and Martin, who both share with me their determination to build the winning men’s and women’s teams. My focus is to provide them with all the necessary tools to create a culture of victory and turn it into success on the court.

We have an outstanding leader and club spokesperson, CEO Vinay. I will support him in realizing our vision, developing talents within the organization, and ensuring that fans are at the heart of our decision-making.

For you, our fans, I am very proud of the inclusion of the Tottenham family and how our club interacts with the various supporters that make up our rich, diverse, global fan base. I want to listen to the fans and understand different perspectives from different support groups. In the coming months, I look forward to meeting our fan advisory board for the first time to learn more about what is most important to you.

I have watched several games, experienced the special atmosphere created by fans on the court, and worked with groups such as THFC Flag to design the amazing Tifo display in the Champions League match against Villarreal last Tuesday. I look forward to sharing more of these special moments with you in the years to come.
